A Compassionate Community Expo at the Victoria Sharks Sporting Club on October 13th from 9 am to 12 noon. Free morning tea will be available.
There will be guest speakers and information booths from a range of community organisations that provide services, support and information on a range of topics, including support for carers, advanced care planning, grief and loss support, funerals, estate planning, palliative care and end of life services, and more.
Information will be shared that aims to support and inform people living with a life-limiting health condition, their family members or friends in a caring role; and also those grieving or experiencing bereavement.
Health professionals and local businesses also very welcome to attend to learn more about what is a Compassionate Community; and how they can become involved.
On the day of the event, attendees are asked to please arrive between 08:30 – 08:50 as the event will start promptly at 09:00 am
The Redlands City Council proudly provides funding for the Compassionate Communities Pilot program for the Victoria Point and Coochiemudlo Island communities and supports the Expo.
